Massachusetts Institue of Technology, BSc. (Computer Science and Molecular Biology)

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS) graduate program at Harvard Medical School, and joined the Macklis Lab in October 2018. I previously received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Molecular Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). I am fascinated by the interface of high-throughput bioinformatic and molecular tools with translationally relevant biological systems. In particular, I am investigating mechanisms of RNA regulation in neurons, focusing on axonal transport in cortical projection neurons.

Outside of lab, I am an avid runner and rower, and compete in events like the Head of the Charles and the Boston and Philadelphia Marathons. I also enjoy employing the "scientific method" at home through cooking, baking, and brewing beer.
